Dogs are not humans and as such, epidemiology, and thus casualty approaches and treatments differ significantly. The CTOMS CANINEMED™ courses are a specialized programs designed for dog handlers and medics that provide support to units employing military and law enforcement working dogs. The courses teach comprehensive field canine trauma and illness management, including advanced skills and extended care.
CTOMS Veterinarians assist with instruction and provide oversight of curriculum development and delivery.
NOTE: Some skills taught on the course may require establishment of a "Veterinarian/Client Patient Relationship" with your working dog's Veterinarian. Regulations differ by Province/State.
