Critical Thinking in Tactical Trauma Care is a foundational organic CTOMS program with unique and exclusive content. Originally developed in 2007 to establish a baseline of expectations for Medical Technician students on Afghanistan pre-deployment training, it has evolved and been updated to be relevant and beneficial for all medical practitioners.
This is unique content that we recommend for all students, but particularly advanced practitioners and professional health care providers. This video series delves into defining critical thinking, then discusses professionalism and impedances to professionalism, particularly as a professional tactical medicine practitioner. It covers the process of skill acquisition and adoption of novel concepts, including evidence-based medicine, ending with an exercise to put critical thinking into context. This is a must do course for anyone serious about becoming a tactical medicine professional.
