Description
QuikClot Control+® is Z-Medica's kaolin-based hemostatic dressing engineered for controlling severe internal and surgical-field bleeding. Its non-woven material, impregnated with kaolin (an inorganic mineral that activates Factor XII), which accelerates the body's natural clotting response faster than standard gauze — creating a drier field for visualization and definitive repair. QuikClot Control+ is used in more than 65% of Level I & Level II trauma centers across the US and is indicated for the temporary control of internal organ space bleeding in patients with Class III or Class IV hemorrhage.
Specifications
Available in four sizes to match the wound, cavity, or procedure:
- 5" x 5", 4-Ply — general soft-tissue wounds and lacerations, including head, neck, scalp, and face
- 8" x 8", 2-Ply — intra-abdominal, intra-thoracic, pelvic, and retroperitoneal packing; large soft-tissue wounds; burn debridement
- 3" x 2 yd, Z-Fold — deep or narrow tracts and cavities requiring a longer continuous length
- 12" x 12", 3-Ply — large-volume cavity packing (liver, spleen, pelvis) and soft-tissue flaps
Each box contains 10 individually packaged, sterile dressings.
