SAR MED Comprehensive Team Leader (TL) Refresher
Prerequisites:
Completion of a Comprehensive Team Leader (TL) course or equivalent team medical leadership training. Current or recent experience in a leadership role is recommended.

- Review of team medical leadership roles and responsibilities
- Updates to medical decision-making frameworks and best practices
- Team-level casualty management and resource coordination
- Leadership and communication during complex or evolving incidents
- Reassessment of medical risk management and operational planning
- Scenario-based leadership refreshers and decision-making drills
This refresher course is designed to reinforce and sustain the leadership and coordination skills required to manage team-level medical care during complex operations. It focuses on maintaining proficiency, updating knowledge, and refining leadership decision-making rather than introducing new foundational material.
Training emphasizes realistic scenarios, discussion-based learning, and practical exercises to ensure team leaders remain effective, current, and confident in directing medical care and supporting team operations.
